Where is Palomino?

Palomino is the limit between La Guajira and Magdalena (Two provinces in the Caribbean coast); it is only 26 km from Dibulla, 72 km from Santa Marta and 90 km from Riohacha. Therefore, this destination is a very good option to know different places located at short distances.

Getting to Palomino from Santa Marta

If you leave from Santa Marta (which is the easiest and cheapest option), you must go to the famous Public Market of this city, there you will identify the bus stops (specifically those that are white with green and blue, because they are the ones that travel to the Park Tayrona, which is on the same track)

The ticket to Palomino from Santa Marta has a cost of $ 9,000 pesos per person.

This route includes Santa Marta, Parque Tayrona, Buritaca, Perico Aguao and finally your destination: Palomino, which you will reach approximately 1 hour and a half after starting the route. The bus stops at the Palomino gas station, from there, you just have to walk a little in the direction of the beautiful and crystalline beach. Reach Palomino from Barranquilla, Cartagena or La Guajira

If you are in another city like Barranquilla, Cartagena or La Guajira, you can also take buses to Palomino. However, the rate will be different. To get to Palomino from these destinations you must pay between $ 35,000 and $ 38,000 pesos. These buses also drop you off at Palomino gas station, which is the central point of all the transporters to this place.
