Tayrona National Park will be closed the first 15 days of February 2021
As is usual, every year this closure takes place to allow the ecosystem restoration. This strategy is known as #RespiraTayrona which has been agreed between Parques Nacionales Naturales de Colombia and four indigenous towns of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta (Kogui, Wiwa, Arhuaco y Kankuamo).

Seasons of 2021 when the Tayrona Park will be closed?
To continuing preserving the biodiversity of the park, to enable the regeneration of the ecosystems, cleanup days, healing and environmental and spiritual protection, The Tayrona Park will close its doors the next months:
Closure of Tayrona Park on February
As we mentioned this closure of Tayrona National Park will happen from February 1st to 15 th
Closure of Tayrona National Park on June
The same as February, the closure of the Tayrona Park takes place on the first fortnight of the month.
Third closure of Tayrona National Natural Park
The last closure of the year will occur from October 19th to November 2nd of 2021.

Will be closed the Lost City?
No. The Lost City Trek will be open even on February so you can book this tour here.
During the closure season, Parques Nacionales de Colombia invites to the tourists who have gone to the Tayrona National Park to pay tribute to this destination by posting your photos sharing your experience using de hashtag #RespiraTayrona.
