We can pick you up directly from your lodging in Santa Marta or El Rodadero. From there, we drive for about 45 minutes until reaching the main entrance of Tayrona National Park, El Zaino, and continue toward the Cañaveral sector.

The hike starts from Cañaveral. The first part takes around 2 hours, following a beautiful jungle trail that leads us past the beaches of Arrecifes, Arenilla, and La Piscina. These postcard-perfect spots prepare you for the highlight of the day: Cabo San Juan del Guía, the most iconic beach of the park and the heart of the Cabo San Juan Tayrona experience.

Once we arrive at Cabo San Juan Tayrona, you’ll have free time to swim in its calm turquoise waters, relax on the sand, climb the famous rock viewpoint, or simply enjoy the breathtaking landscape where rainforest and giant granite boulders meet the Caribbean Sea.

After enjoying this magical place, we meet again to begin the return hike—the same 2-hour trail back to Cañaveral. Our vehicle will be waiting for us there to return to Santa Marta, arriving around 6:00 p.m..
