We have comfortable 4WD vehicles suitable for the route. We also have experience drivers who have been working more than 20 years on The Lost City Trek route; thereby we guarantee a comfortable, fun and especially safe trip.
Acommodation
During the Lost City Trek Colombia, we will stay at rustic accommodations located along the path, provided by local people who will offer us a comfortable and safe staying in hammocks or bunk beds cover by a waterproof roof. They will also provide Blankets and mosquito nets.
Guidance
Our guides are locals with great experience on the route who we have supported, trained and certified to relevant private and public authorities. Therefore, they can develop guidance tourist activities in an environmentally and socially responsible way throughout the the best trek to Ciudad Perdida Lost City. All our tours have a bilingual translator.
Meals
At the stations where we will spend the nights along the route to the Lost City of the indigenous Tayronas, we will provide food prepared by our cooks with fresh ingredients and typical recipes.

We were lucky in getting a fantastic group and having a fabulous time (despite the relentless rain that came from Mexico!) We saw some mixed reviews of this hike. Yes it is expensive but it's worth it if you can afford it! The first day involves walking mostly on a gravel road with some motorbikes coming past, which is annoying but once you get into the jungle, the track is a lot nicer! We enjoyed the food made by Jesus and they seemed to cater well for any dietary requirements! Our guide Jorge was lovely and attentive, helping people struggling in the mud and slippery parts and showing us the better routes. Our translator Danilo was engaging and loved to have a laugh. And he was the most fashionable hiker out there. The only real negatives were that we got picked up early morning from Santa Marta town and then proceeded to wait in the office for an hour without knowing what was going on. In hindsight it would have been nicer to have the option to make our own way there and meet at a later time. The other was that we weren't told of the option to end/start the hike somewhere other than Santa Marta including when we checked in the day before. We were with a group of 15 amazing people, guided by 3 even more amazing guides. The ever smiling lead guide Tatjana was fluent in English which resulted in deeper insights and understanding of the indigenous society’s for me as non Spanish speaker. Tatjana was supported by Heider and Joan. Both amazing people who enjoyed their job. Their enthusiasm was absolutely infectious! While the guides showed how to enjoy the jungle they always kept an eye on potential dangerous situations and where fast in anticipation on it, by which I felt very safe in their hands. Because the where three guides, everyone could walk on safely on their own pace and there were opportunities to swim in lovely waterfalls. The camps are well organised and Luz made us delicious meals. Overall it resulted in a very professional standard and I would recommend the experience to my friends! 100% sure that this was my highlight of Colombia! Our guide Sara, translator Herbert, José and our cook Joel were really excellent! They speak really good English and their knowlegde of the history of the lost city is perfect. They are really caring and funny. The camps are really clean. You receive three big meals per day, which are all fresh made (fish, meat, …). Communication before the tour was clear and easy, and everything felt extremely well organised. They kindly picked us up from Minca at 7am, saving us an extra trip to Santa Marta. I had a great experience with my group Monos Pekuecosos with Iderle as guide, Carlos as the translater, Alberto as the cook and Esleider as assistence. Iderle told is a lot about the hidden city and the planning of the tour. She also helped me and my husband when he got injured. We couldn’t haven done it without her help. Carlos did a good job. Albeiro was an excellent cook we eat very well! And Esleider helped Joost when he was injected! Thank you again! We also had a nice group which is important to get us through. Although I was a bit hard for me all that climbing and descending it was really nice to do and see all the beautiful nature. I am proud of myself I did it!
