The 4-day Colombia Lost City Hike tour is the perfect plan for travelers looking to disconnect from work stress and immerse themselves in a world of adventure and magic with the typical nature of the country.
Enjoy moments of relaxation in the waters, natural pools, and waterfalls you will find along the way to Teyuna.
Here’s the 4-day itinerary for the Colombia Lost City Hike plan:
Day 1 – At 9:30 AM, a 4×4 van will arrive at the Expotur offices in Santa Marta to take a two and a half hour ride to the Mamey region, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch.
Then, we’ll start searching for the sacred place of the Taironas and finally arrive at camp 1.
Day 2 – After breakfast, we’ll start a hike through the Buritaca River valley, where we will find numerous houses that make up a Kogui indigenous village called Mutanshi.
We will be passing through the Sierra Nevada jungle to appreciate all the natural diversity that lives there, and finally arrive at camp 3 to rest.
Day 3 – This is where the ascent to the destination begins.
We’ll climb 1,200 steps that were built by the Tayronas themselves to reach the Lost City, where we’ll learn about the historical and cultural wonders of this place for a while.
Then, we’ll return to camp 3 for lunch and finally move to camp 2 to rest.
Day 4 – We’ll travel back to our home route.
Along the way, we’ll see beautiful waterfalls and rivers until we reach Mameye, where a van will be waiting to take us back to Santa Marta.
