What to do for a weekend in Santa Marta: Saturday afternoon
To continue taking advantage of your weekend in Santa Marta, after lunch, you can take a bus or a taxi that drives you to El Rodadero, one of the most visited beaches in the city. Once in El Rodadero you can take a bath in the water to cool off (you must put the bathing suit on the beach or in the bathroom of the restaurant where you have lunch, since at Quinta de San Pedro you cannot go wearing a bathing suit).
After refreshing you can walk along the boardwalk of the Rodadero and enter some artisanal fairs so you can buy souvenirs of your loved ones.
We recommend you go prepared to wait and enjoy the sunset; it is also a good time for incredible photos.

Once in Taganga, you can decide whether you will stay on that beach or you will go to Cristal Beach (to do this you will have to pay the price of a boat that will take you there.) Some travelers prefer this beach instead because Playa Cristal always less crowded.
Regardless of what you decide, we recommend finding a restaurant that already offers chairs and a table (in the shade). It may be the same restaurant where you go to have lunch
