Tayrona Gold Museum

This museum is located in the old house of the Customs, in front of the Simón Bolívar Park, exactly on 14th street with 2nd avenue. ADMISSION TO THE MUSEUM IS FREE.

The Tayrona Gold Museum House of Customs contains a collection of pieces of ceramics, goldsmiths and other ethnographic objects that show a little the Culture and history of Santa Marta.

Bolivarian Museum

The Bolivarian Museum of Contemporary Art in the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, has an exhibition of permanent works and other exhibitions that vary according to the internal strategies of the place. This museum was created with the intention of making reality through art, the dream of integration of the Bolivarian countries (Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Panama and Venezuela) as a tribute to the Liberator of Nations, Simón Bolívar.

The entrance to the museum is included in the fee they charge to enter the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino.

The MEUM (as it is known in Spanish), is located on 22nd Street with Carrera 1 (in front of the Bay). Currently, its operating hours are from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday and admission is free. In this museum you will find some samples of goldsmiths and ceramics, and archaeological collections of the Tayronas. On the other hand, this museum has important information about Santa Marta and the Caribbean region.

Art Museum of the University of Magdalena

This museum is located on 16th Street with 2nd avenue, at the San Juan Nepomuceno Cloister, in the Historic Center of Santa Marta. Tourists can enter the museum free of any charge from Monday to Friday from 8:00 A.M. at 7:00 P.M., and on Saturdays 8:00 A.M. at 6:00 P.M.

Here you will find works of contemporary art of representative characters of the country and a tour of the art and history of the Samarian culture.

This museum is located on 13th street with Carrera 12ª # 46 in Gaira, close to Rodadero. In this museum you can find information about the history, culture and traditions of Santa Marta; mainly, the relevance of this community in the history of the City. The hours of operation are from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. at 12:00 and from 2:00 p.m.-6: 00 p.m.
